| Raja Ampat Dive Trip Information | |||
The TRIP: Healthy reefs, unusual reef structures and dive sites. Unusual dive sites and the most diverse marine life area ever recorded. Huge schools of fish: barracuda, surgeonfish, fusiliers, batfish, sweetlips... macro creatures: blue-ring octopus, pygmy seahorses, double ended pipefish, shrimp gobies, nudibranchs, and loads of reef fish. Beautiful unspoiled topside scenery. This is a trip you will never forget. About US and the TRIP: We've spent countless hours underwater creating images on 4+ dives per day in Raja Ampat during the past 13 years and know the reefs and conditions necessary for optimal image and video making. This year, 2013, will make about 35 we've hosted for a group (we're addicted!) here. Irian Jaya (Papua) is where we want to go for our diving holiday, so join us and find out why. Since 1999, Deb has written multiple dive magazine articles, created several websites for the area, contributed photos to dive magazines in Asia, the USA and UK, presented shows at DEMA, Seaspace, UPS & dive club meetings and written the Raja Ampat section of the Periplus Guide to Diving in Asia.

Our Guest Diver's Comments:
" I have to say that diving in Raja Ampat exceeded all my exceptionally high expectations.
I don't know how I held my regulator in my mouth on some of those initial dives since my jaw was dropping in disbelief at the sheer amount of life. I have never seen anything like it anywhere...Unfortunately, I don't think anything will ever be able to compare. How do you do two days of diving and see wobbegong sharks, epaulet sharks, eels, seahorses, turtles, banded pipefish, cuttlefish, lionfish, crocodilefish, anenomefish, shrimps, crabs, nudibranchs, flatworms, robust ghost pipefish, sea snakes, and countless species of fish? It was mind boggling to see it all. Sometimes the dives were a kaleidoscope of color with soft coral, hard coral, fish, and crinoids in every imaginable color.
We even had the fortune to see both hard coral and soft coral spawning. Fricking AWESOME!!! !"
