Sargassum Frogfish - Bonus photo
Verrrrrrry tricky. These little guys are so well camouflaged that although they are abundant, its impossible to photograph one without help.
We snagged a bit of sargassum weed as it went floating by full of frogfish, then got into shallow water with it. One diver would hold the clump of weed and attempt to move the branches from in front of the fish, while the photographer tried to focus and compose before the fish moved or the weed obscured the line of sight.
Many bad words were said by all.
At the end, the sargassum was released to float onward carrying its passengers to wherever good frogfish go.
