Phyllodesmium nudibranch, Diving Raja Ampat Islands
|
When I first spotted this nudibranch I thought it was a coral growing on the gorgonian. I had to look through my viewfinder to find the rhinophores before I knew it was a nudibranch. New to me, it is ID'ed as a Phyllodesmium sp. and has to be on of the most unusual nudibranchs I've ever seen.
I was able to find this nudibranch again, on the same small gorgonian (in a never ending field of small gorgonians and other low growth) and show it to Tony and Mike.
