Wobbegong sharks are one of the species most divers like to see and photograph in Raja Ampat. The above photo was one of the first shots I took when I traveled to Raja Ampat for the first time in 1999.
On departure day on my charters you will visit a dive site that is suitable for our check out dives. We always see wobbegong sharks on those dives, day and night. It is one of the spots where we often find baby wobbegongs the size of my hand. Our check out site is a wonderful spot to find macro subjects such as Blue Ring Octopus, Devil Scorpionfish, nudibranchs, pipefish, all sorts of crabs, shrimps and lobsters; even Spanish Dancers. For fish lovers the site hosts a variety of beautiful anemones and anemonefish and the Blue Flasher Wrasse comes out at dusk. Technically it isn't Raja Ampat, but it does give us an extra day of excellent dives. We move the first night to Raja Ampat while everyone is sleeping.
On my own value added charters I put a maximum 12 guests on the ship, add a Raja Ampat experienced cruise director and dive guides to insure your dive crew will know the area and dive sites; make the dive schedule, work with my guests to choose the dive sites plus offer unlimited bottom time and many days of "open deck" dive-as-much-as-you-like diving.

Dates for full charters should be booked a minimum of 6-12 months in advance. Be sure to contact me if you have a group of 12-16 and would like a private charter organized for your club or group of dive buddies. All you need to do is round up the divers, I will arrange flights in Indonesia, any hotels or add-on trips for you.
